Are you a Fixer-Upper fan?
Do you remember the dilapidated barn fixer-upper that Chip and Joanna transformed into an amazing home? It's for SALE. Complete with 16 acres of land, including a pond, this barn turned 2,700 square-feet home is on the market. Horse stalls turned country living, this five bedroom, two bath home has a huge kitchen and dining hall that seats 16!
Let's get this tour started...welcome to the Barndominium!
It was season 3, episode 6 when this transformation was revealed. This barn-turned-home is unique and full of character with lots of shiplap, sliding barn doors, gorgeous hardwood flooring and a grand hall with dining space for 16!
There are a couple of living areas in this home and the first is just off the front entry.
Just behind the stairway is a small work station, such a great use of space.
The kitchen is a-m-a-z-i-n-g with a huge custom island and small eating area just off to the side.
What a view!
This is the second living space and it has the perfect layout with the kitchen, eating, laundry and living area all on one level.
The bedrooms are spacious and so cozy; I do love the Lego wall!
This 5 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, 2,653 square feet Barndominium on 16 acres is located at 123 Spring Creek Street in Lacy Lakeview Texas and it can be yours for $1,200,000.
That's not in the budget? Guess what...you can stay for a night or a month for $1,200 a night on VRBO.
What do you think? I don't remember what they paid for Chip and Jo to complete this fixer-upper but it wasn't close to $1,200,000. That's a good return on their investment!
So beautiful and what a lovely view!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a big-dollar price for that home in Waco. We lived a half hour south of Waco and house prices are a lot cheaper there.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful house! The setting is amazing too.... such a peaceful looking home.
ReplyDeleteCindy, thanks for sharing this beautiful home! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking house. I thought that couple could not wait to move into it..and were going to make it their family home. NOT worth that money to me...I think it is probably pretty overpriced for that area. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that house! Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home!
ReplyDeleteWow!! Interesting!!! They must think that because everyone loved that episode so much we are all dying to pay way too much money to get a piece of it!!! I suppose if you were planning a pilgrimage to Waco to have a "fixer Upper experience" with several other people, it might be fun to rent and stay in it.
ReplyDeleteActually, I read that the owners WERE renting it out and HGTV got very angry with them about it. Might be why it is for sale.
DeleteI remember watching this episode and loved the house when it was completed. WOW, I suspect they have priced themselves right out of the market. I'm interested to know when and if they sell it. I could see myself living in that house but a 2,653 square foot home for that kind of money, the buyer would have to have more money than sense. Stranger things have been known to happen though.
