Thursday Home Tour ~ It Could Be Yours!

I am so excited to share this 3 bedroom and 2 bath historical charmer with you!

This country farmhouse is like stepping back in time to Granny's house.
Located at the base of John's Mountain in Summerville, GA, it was built around 1890.  Upon entering the farmhouse you'll find many of the original features like exposed wood beams, beadboard ceilings, hardwood floors, and metal kitchen cabinets.  This home would make a lovely retreat with its 2 acre pastoral and mountain views; truly one of a kind!

It could be yours for $75,000.
Would you consider this a fixer upper to remodel
or
leave it as is to enjoy the feel of days gone by...what would you do if she were yours?

Here's a video if you'd like to see it!

  2. It never ceases to amaze me , that you can buy so much for so little in the USA. IN the UK that amount of money would buy a two bedroom ruin in a ghetto with no land

  3. I have sent this link to a friend who has bought and remodeled her second small home in the northern mountains of Arkansas. My husband is a realtor and I would enjoy doing a similar blog post such as this with homes for sale in my area. Do you have to have permission from the realtor or MLS to feature these homes?

    1. I always share the link I have referenced at the end of each post; promoting the home and providing a contact back to the originator.

  5. Quite a house and what a price, huh? I have to be honest- I would update it. Love the setting but I couldn't do the border in the kitchen and it looks like the stove is on the opposite side of the sink and the kitchen is divided by a half wall. That would not work for me and the way I like to cook and entertain. I do like the wood walls and ceilings though. xo Diana
