There is something special as the early morning sunlight streams in through the windows and into the kitchen. From early morning to late afternoon it's magical as the sun creates shadows that dance across the room; especially when it's decorated for Christmas.
I find it amazing...
the contrast of how slow the sun seems to move across the sky during the day
compared to how quickly the dark morning shadows become bright daylight in the kitchen; happening in just a matter of minutes.
A small white feather tree has been tucked in an ironstone bowl, draped with buffalo check fabric and decorated with Christmas birds. Just beneath is a white lace doily and red Christmas berries.
Just beside is a mirrored plateau with birds and a Christmas candle in a silver snowflake sleeve.
Across the island in the front window is a glitter angel,
silver hurricane filled with snow balls, snowflakes, cranberries and a vanilla candle
and just to the right is a silver tinsel tree that's been placed in an ironstone bowl.
The tinsel tree has been decorated with handmade homespun ornaments.
The day is passing and once again the kitchen is quickly filling with shadows;
as the afternoon sunset bids the daylight goodbye with tranquil evening shadows.
as the afternoon sunset bids the daylight goodbye with tranquil evening shadows.
Hope you enjoyed my Christmas kitchen.
Have a wonderful weekend!
