Through the Kitchen Window

We are definitely in the dog days of summer!

If you've been hanging around here for any length of time you know I love nature.

During this hot and busy summer,

one of the joys while cooking and doing the dishes

are the views through the kitchen window.

I've shared some of them with you; beautiful songbirds and snakes ~ A Special Place 

and the hummingbirds are such fun to watch ~ Hummingbirds in Flight.

Many amazing sights, some happen too quickly to capture, but sometimes I get lucky...

There is a lone rose bush just outside the kitchen window.  Over many days, I enjoy watching the roses grow from tiny bud to full bloom.

Other views happen quickly, like this hawk landing just past the magnolia.

I could see him tapping something down with his talon but never saw what he had.

It was something small, maybe a katydid?   I so dislike those big, loud and ugly bugs!

He was there and then he was gone.  I really enjoy the views through my kitchen window!
