While out a couple of weeks ago
I found some homespun Valentine ornaments.
They were super cute
and
the sayings were perfect
so
I gathered up a few and brought them home.
I knew right away what I wanted to do with them,
so I gathered a few things needed to pull it together.
~ twigs from the yard
~ Valspar white spray paint
~ tape
~ Ironstone bowl
~ small mason jar
~ tissue paper
~ striped fabric
~ a few homespun hearts I already had
With Valspar white spray paint I gave the twigs a very light coating.
I arranged the twigs in a small mason jar.
First I used a bit of tape at the base of the branches to secure them together
and then I used strips of tissue paper to hold the twigs in the desired position inside the mason jar.
I placed the mason jar inside the ironstone bowl and then covered it with some striped fabric.
All done,
a valentine tree for my sweetheart!
It's in the kitchen so the days leading up to Valentine's Day
he can be reminded of just how much he means to me!
I wasn't sure if I would leave it on the island or at the front window...
I moved it back to the center of the island,
it's the perfect spot.
