I have so many wonderful memories of my Granny's kitchen window,
my mothers too,
and
I am really enjoying our new window.
From the keeping room,
it is so nice watching the birds visit the feeders
hanging from the large maple tree in the back courtyard.
There are several feeders there
so I decided to move one of them around front to the dogwood tree
just outside the new kitchen window.
Several
days
passed
before
I
noticed
a
visitor.
He didn't have feathers,
but I was thrilled just the same!
One look at me and this little gray squirrel scurried off,
but I have high hopes for many amusing views
from
our
new
kitchen
window!
Happy Tuesday!

ReplyDeleteI love that great photo of the squirrel peaking in!
ReplyDeleteAwe...what a cutie! You have a beautiful window to enjoy the views!
ReplyDeleteEven before my kitchen window overlooked the sunroom, I couldn't see more than sky... it's too high for me.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures..... I do love visiting your site.
ReplyDeleteI love watching the birds at the feeders from our kitchen window, too...just not the squirrels. :) We have lots of hickorys and oaks and they seem to prefer that to the bird seed. Thanks for sharing your kitchen window view. It's lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou got such great pictures of the squirrel! We feed the birds too. Just love them! We have bluebirds that have stayed for the winter this year. Of course, our winter is very mild. :)
ReplyDeleteI got a kick out of your pictures and the neighbor staring in at you. What a view.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable little visitor!
ReplyDeleteHaha I've always liked squirrels but these particular photos solidify that:). How cute and soft. And what a beautiful window. At my mothers home, I take great joy out of watching the humming birds. They are such amazing creatures to me. Thank you for this adorable post.
