I've been filling the cupboards in the new kitchen
and the one made of pine is pretty much finished...
I've been filling the shelves with a little pewter and ironstone.
Of course a farmhouse style kitchen needs a swan and a hen or two...
A little Nandina from the garden...
This keepsake was added too, my childhood cookie jar.
This piece brings back so many memories!
My brother and I ate many a cookie from this jar
and I couldn't begin to tell you how many times this poor little bird lost its head...
The beak is long gone...
There are two more cupboards to fill.
My favorite things to use are old pieces, like the cookie jar.

ReplyDeleteOh yes...I do like that makeover. Your collection looks lovely on it and those red berries just set it off! I have a few items in my kitchen that were my mom's that I love using. One is an old aluminum pie pan and I can visualize her baking one of her pies whenever I get it out to use! Thanksgiving blessings to you and your family, Cindy!
