Nearing the Finish Line ~ Kitchen Update

There is so much to share but with only a bit of time so once all the dust settles I will fill in the blanks!

This has been a very productive week and we are nearing the finish line which of course is thrilling for us!

The last of the orders have arrived including the cabinetry hardware...

The island is cherry like this sample and I wanted to give you a little peek at some of the hardware...

This is the instant hot dispenser and all the other fixtures have arrived too...

It was tough choosing the paint colors but in the end our favorites were BM Chantilly Lace for some cabinetry and trim work and Wickham Gray for the walls...

Isn't it amazing how many shades of white there are!
We have chosen subway tile for the backsplash, but which white?

Creamy, peachy, or pure white...guess which I chose?

It's kind of funny,
twice I have found myself very emotional and I don't know why it was these two things?
First was when the vent hood cover was being installed...that brought tears to my eyes
and
I kept feeling my heart was going to jump out of my chest when the ovens and fridge were being installed...it was so exciting!

First the dishwasher and vent hood insert were installed, Mr. Fred will run the gas line and install the rangetop today...

then the ovens are in...

and finally the fridge!

This was a tough one for the guys.
Our ceilings are 8' tall and there was no way they could set the fridge down without gouging a hole into the ceiling.  They finally decided to lay the fridge down on its side and remove the top piece (the one you see right at the ceiling)...

We finalized the template layouts on the stone for the countertops which will be installed today.

 Soapstone for the perimeter...

White Venatino on the island.
Notice the lizard climbing up the marble...

The ceilings, walls, and trim have been primed and will be be painted the end of the week, including the barn doors for the pantry...

The appliances are Thermador, Subzero, and Vent-a-Hood
Thanks so much for coming by!
