DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?

Sometimes there is no need for words.

You just notice a glow,
look up,
and enjoy the beauty that surrounds...

And other times you are called to catch the view.

Like when your hubby takes the pup outside,
and he calls back in the house for you to come quickly!

Do you see what I see?

At the end of the porch,
and up in the tree...

A hoot owl.
Only he hasn't been doing any hooting.

This view from the other side of the tree, can you see him?

It is cloudy, damp, and dark outside so my camera isn't capturing him very well,
but I keep snapping and zoom in...

He's like, seriously...what is this crazy woman doing?!

Evidently he wasn't too worried about me.
He quickly grew tired and took to napping...

He's been perched there for several days now, he just changes limbs from time to time.
It is still cloudy, damp, and dark outside.
Maybe things will clear up soon so I can try for better pics...if he's still around!

Our porch and the trees around it attract nature, check out

Cindy

  5. Hi Cindy,

I like the theme here today:) What a great shot of the owl! It's fun to live in a spot where you see the wild life ..and I know how much you enjoy and appreciate it. We get lots too and every time I see something I feel fortunate. Hope you are enjoying the festivities of the season.

  6. This post is a thrill for me. We have an owl that lives in the woods behind our home, but I have yet captured photos good enough to share. Yours are stunning.

Thank you for visiting day one of my holiday home tour. I invite you to come back for day two.♥

  7. Hi Cindy,
Wow, you captured some great shots, what a beautiful sky and I thought your zooms on Mr. Owl were phenomenal. Have never seen a real hoot
owl up that close and personal..........So neat! Maybe he was playing possum hoping you would not bother him! lol
I know you get a kick out of all these critters that come to visit just like I do, and God's glory shines all around us, just like in that beautiful sky
scene, love the look thru the trees, great photography my friend, Hope you are doing well..........I am still getting caught up but getting closer to
being done all the time. Enjoying the season too, not stressing and killing myself that is for sure! lol

Blessings to you and yours for a Lovely Christmas Season,

  8. Cindy-Beautiful pictures of the owl and your sky. That is amazing that he just hangs out there. I think that is associated with good luck to have one on your property- xo Diana

  10. Oh my! If an owl had visited our property, I would have been ecstatic! I have always loved owls, ever since my brother and I had several baby owls when we were kids.

  11. Cindy...he's gorgeous! You got some great shots. He/she must have a nearby nest. I saw one flying once in Michigan, I thought they only did that at night. I was in awe!
