What's going on with Google Blogger?!
I know that having a Google blog is free.
And I'm thankful for that.
Evenso, if you offer a free service, shouldn't it work?
I've emailed the help desk,
and emailed the help desk,
and emailed the help desk.
And they keep saying it's fixed, but it's not.
1) Feedburner subscriber numbers change several times a day.
The subscriber goes down by several hundred, and then up by several hundred.
Everyday, several times a day, and have forever.
Why aren't they consistent?
and worse...
2) My posts aren't updating on your blogrolls
and
your posts aren't updating on my blog roll.
Sometimes new posts don't update on blog rolls for days.
Even if I go back into my post to "update" to re-publish the post...it can take days.

I don't like sounding negative but I haven't been able to get any help
so I'm turning to you sweet friend!
Have any insight that can help?
Thanks so much!
Blessings,
I feel your pain, Cindy. Just when mine finally gets resolved, something "breaks" again. [sigh]
ReplyDeleteIf it helps, your blog updated just now on my blogroll perfectly fine.
ReplyDeleteWas it on time, or late?
ReplyDeleteoh yea, that was going on with a lot of us last week, then the updating cleared up. my feedburner number goes from over 5000 which is accurate to 2300 and then changes back and forth. don't know why that can't fix it. I agree, I'd rather pay $10 a month or more just to have it work right and some help. hang in there. it will work eventually.
ReplyDeleteSorry I can't help Cindy. I left blogger over a year ago
ReplyDeleteThem acknowledging that there IS a problem would be nice!!! I'm so frustrated with this it isn't even funny! At least "edit" and "update" is still working to get my blog on MY dashboard, but I don't know what to do about the rest of it.
ReplyDeleteCindy, I seem to be getting your feeds in a timely manor. I hope you get your problems resolved!
ReplyDeleteI don't know. Mine doesn't update right either and hasn't for weeks. And my Feedburner stats go up and down by several thousand day in and day out. Been that way for at least a year.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
No help... I just struggle along and hope it gets back to normal soon....
ReplyDeleteCindy...I don't know if my problem is the same as yours but blogs I've followed forever don't show up on my Reader List and when I go to their blogs I'm not on the follower list. I tried to email Blogger and I got "someone" who said I was following too many blogs! I'm lost!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
I definitely feel your pain! Happy Thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteOne word....... WORDPRESS. :)
ReplyDeleteThis might not be helpful at all, Cindy, but I started on Word Press.org from the very first day, because of stuff like this that I read in researching starting a blog. I've never had any problems with feed numbers or feed going out. I've only been at it 7mos, granted... It only cost me about $60 for the first year. Might be more when I renew, WP is free but you have to pay for your hosting with someone else. You're right, even if it's free it should work. Good luck to you! -Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you have helped me! I don't check regularly the number of suscribers on feedburner, maybe twice a month, but they go up and down as well and when they are down, I keep asking myself what I have done wrong that so many people would unsuscribe. Sometimes I worry that I wrote something offensive without even wanting to (one of my worries when I write in a language that's not my mother tongue)... I'll stop worrying now! Happy Thanksgiving to you!
ReplyDeleteHaving some problems also. My list is not updating right - sometimes it does, and sometimes it won't. Having problems with one of the Linky formats not accepting my pictures/entry on a weekly event also.
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Thanksgiving!
I am on Blogger too and have had this problem on and off too. I have no idea how to fix it, it just seems to EVENTUALLY fix itself???? It is VERY frustrating!
ReplyDeleteI would like to know how to check Feedburner numbers! I have had a lot of trouble with drafting posts ever since I came back to Blogger. Sometimes it takes hours for pix to load. We did change recently to Uverse (would have done it sooner but it wasn't available before), and that has sped up the pix somewhat. Still sometimes things don't work right. You probably can tell I am not very tech savvy, and I have never known how to check that subscriber thing.
ReplyDeleteFeedburner is an unsupported Google product, which is likely to be cancelled in the future. The stats functionality has been broken since late 2012. Though closure is not eminent, you probably want to migrate to another service like Feedblitz or Feedly.
