MORNING BECKONS ~ SUNLIT BIRDS

The morning sun.
It's rays stream in through the window,
beckoning me to notice,
to be still,
and enjoy.



Early morning as I round the corner,
it catches my eye.
The morning rays of sunlight streaming into the darkness...



Quickly the room is transformed,
the darkness must leave.
Warmer,
brighter,
highlighting little birds on the kitchen table.



Their faces so bright and sweet...








Moments pass,
only a few,
when all darkness turns to light,
a new day is ushered in.



Counting my blessings.
A beautiful way to start the day!

    Oh Cindy, I love this. The morning is so much my favorite time of the day. I find myself doing the same thing as you...when the sunlight hits an object a certain way, illuminating it to make it stand out...I run and get my camera. It is never too far away! Thanks for this sweet post :)

    I used to make these scenery sets in a jar just like you when i was a kid! I'd fill it with craft left overs, and little plastic toys.
    I like that stamp, it adds a nice touch to it.

    How beautiful….it is so wonderful to start the day off seeing the sun streaming through the house…I love to get up every day and see the sunrise…as my mother always says, "it's a great day because I woke up and saw the sun" Have a fabulous weekend!

    Beautiful, Cindy! I love it when the sun shines through like this. I have a chandelier that catches the sun at just the right time of day and it's so very pretty.
