An old strainer used as a vase, isn't that clever!
My mother still uses a strainer like this for making gravy at Christmas and Thanksgiving! You'll be happy to know, hers isn't rusty!
There is something so charming about tiny tables. This one came with a HEFTY price...

I wanted to bring this three tier candle stand home with me, thought it would look GREAT on my porch...
A white and blue cupboard, such a pretty combination!
Lace ferns everywhere...such a pretty touch!
Tiny chairs are charming too. Love this one with the basket of blooms...
So many things caught my eye, but guess what? I didn't buy a thing!

ReplyDeleteI loved seeing all of this, Cindy. I have always enjoyed primitives, and I like them mixed with more traditional pieces. Those spool cabinets caught my eye. I wonder how much they cost? Were they expensive? I don't see them much here for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI have two little cabinets on the side of the sofa in the St. Augustine house that we use as an end table. They were stacked that way in an antique shop, and I liked them well enough to bring both home years ago. One is some sort of map or document type case ,and the other was a cabinet for auto parts. It has small drawers and is really fun. I keep shells in there now, but it actually had some new parts in the drawer when I bought it. So they are mixed with my shells. :-)

Looks like a really fun store to browse for sure. Loved the white cabinet with the robins egg blue color inside. My fav color right now! lol
As I looked at your post it reminded me of a country store that I used to visit. A dear friend used to work there so I came to know the owner too, and then her husband took ill and she had to sell the store many years ago, and I don't know if it is still there or not, but I thought I am gonna take a ride over there someday and see if it is still there, cause it was just such a fun store, packed to the gills with stuff. Most of it didn't go with my decor or if I did find something the color wasn't right usually, but still was such fun to
browse and gain ideas and every once in awhile I would actually find something to take home..........so you stirred up something from the past with this post, (LOL) and so glad you did, haven't thought of that store in years, yet it was so enjoyable!!
