It’s a tradition that I look forward to every year.
When the Southern Spring Show comes to town Mr. Heart checks his schedule and makes a date with me! He’ll do a bit of work early in the morning and then we’ll head out for brunch, tour the show, and end the day with dinner. There are lots of goodies to see in the vendor area. We don’t usually buy anything other than a batch of warm sweet covered almonds. My favorite part of the show is strolling through the garden area...

The show lighting isn't the best for picture taking.
This table was beautiful! A table fountain covered with slate tiles, bordered with several mosses and a center piece full of ivy and flowers. The water springs up through the center of the table, trickles down the table and off into a large clay pitcher where it cycles through again.
The fountain pump is underneath the table. It is hard to see in this next picture, but the water is being pumped up through the center of the table right beneath the center flower vase pedestal…
it then slowly runs down through all the lush greenery, flowers and stone along the center and then off the edge into the clay pitcher…
So creative!!!
The table was set with dainty dishes and napkins wrapped with green bows…

Moss filled goblets and little lights…
some Phlox…
There were outdoor fireplaces…
Waterfalls…
There were flowers galore. Treasure chests full of tulips…
And cute little critters here…
and there...
And in the Wizard of Oz garden was the scarecrow…
Dorothy was close by, see her ruby red slippers…
and yes…Toto too!
Old fashioned drive-in movies…
A wedding dress and cake made of flowers…
Flower bonnets…
They were ready for the Oscars.
Let’s hear it for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest…
Or maybe your prefer Breakfast at Tiffany’s…
Tiffany blue with a picture of Audrey Hepburn in each frame…
Butterflies are Free to Fly…
My Fair Lady…
Designers showcase their style…
Flower boxes and gnomes…
Rescued red tailed hawks…
Little red tractors full of garden flowers…
Walls with seats, inviting us to sit a spell and dream of far away places…
Inspirational yard decor, tee hee…
And a water hydrant fountain, the BLUE ribbon winner!
It was a fun day!
Hope you enjoyed a stroll through the Southern Spring Show!
Please leave a comment so I’ll know you did…
Blessings,
Cindy

What an amazing, amazing show. I absolutely love everything. We missed ours here this year and I am sorry we did because I always come away feeling full of hope and anticipation of Spring days. Your show is wonderful!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love that table fountain, office and green living room. (that's the color of my walls) I just had my toilet replaced and had visions (for years) of making it into a planter. Hubby had it hauled off, dang it!
ReplyDeleteAbout the middle of the pics there was a wonderful red leather chair. And somewhere in there was a vintage red truck. Can you tell my favorite color?
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed this post, Cindy! The table fountain is so creative...loved it and pinned it!
ReplyDeleteCindy, what a fun post! I saw so many things that "spoke" to me. Audrey Hepburn is a favorite at our house, so I loved the tables that featured her. Hawks, too, hold a special place in our hearts, so I was thrilled to see the one that had been rescued. The table with the fountain was pretty incredible - so glad you and your husband had a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed touring the Spring show with you. So many unique things to see, and great ideas, too!
ReplyDeleteLove that fountain table!
What a great way to spend an afternoon.
xo
What a fabulous show...your photos are gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteCindy, this looks like a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! The displays are amazing! Love all of the garden photos!!! They are just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking me along with you to this show...I had a wonderful time:) Our show is this week and I am not going to get to go:( The toilet planter...oh my!!
Blessings,
Linda
What a fun place to visit, the rooms were really beautiful and your photos turned out really nice!
ReplyDeleteEverything is so beautiful! I don't know what I like best! Thanks so much for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I usually do the same thing but this year he was not able to go with me because we had been out of town for 2 weeks and he needed to be in the office. We look forward to it every year too, or at least I do! The first garden with the water feature tablescape was my favorite but I thoroughly enjoyed all of the gardens!Great post!
ReplyDeleteWow, makes me wish I lived in that area to go...Amazing show!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Cindy, this is spectacular! This is SO different from the Home & Garden Shows we get here. The fountain table is amazing. I certainly understand why you look forward to it every year!
ReplyDeleteCarol
I would have loved to see that event. Everything is so pretty except for the toilet, lol...Christine
ReplyDeleteOh I agree. I can see why you look forward to this. What an awesome looking show!

ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Home & Garden Show! I love the treasure chest of tulips and the spring table settings.
Thanks for sharing. Happy Pink Saturday!

Wow, what an amazing show - so much for the eye to behold! Lovely tablesettings, room decor and garden ideas! What a wonderful date day for you and your hubby! I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
ReplyDeleteKathy
What a wonderful event! I kept saying "Oh, I love that" with each new picture! I think my favorite fountain is the table you featured first. So clever! I also loved the Breakfast At Tiffany's table - just charming. I would definitely attend this every year if it were near me!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend,
Robin
What an amazing show!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you at Seasonal Sundays.
- The Tablescaper
what an incredible show, those tables are amazing, what fun to see everything, such a feast for the eyes...
ReplyDeleteCindy, thanks for taking us along to this amazing show. Enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteWow, a house and a garden show! Very nice tour. I would have loved to have attended this show.
ReplyDeleteWhat a super cool date to go on with your husband!!! My husband and I love these kinds of shows, too, and we always look forward. Your show there has displays that are much more lush than most of the booths in the shows here. Most booths here are home improvement things. Very few really cool things like what you've shown here. I LOVE that first table and all of the ones toward the end, too! All of the vignettes were very pretty, and the tables quite creative! Thank you for sharing this fun with us! (visiting from Seasonal Sundays)
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great show, how much fun to see all those creative tables up close and personal! Thanks for sharing your amazing date!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Thanks for taking us on the tour, loved it. So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAaaaahhh.....What a lovely tour! Have never been to this type of show, but I would like to go some time! Such creative displays of beauty. Thank you for sharing these photos. They made me smile! : ) Catherine (new follower)
