The history, beauty, simplicity, grandeur, gardens, tranquility, or the hundred year old live oak trees draped in moss, but we tour these homes most every year and never tire of seeing them!

We were in Georgetown, SC for the annual Plantation Home tour and I am so excited to share these homes with you.
These homes are in the historic part of town.

The original kitchen is in the detached structure behind the house and the original fireplace and chimney are still used today. It is used as an outside covered den area, sometimes referred to as the husbands "man cave."

These are historic rice plantations and we drive out of town to see them...
The Rosemont Plantation
(Original house burned. In 1991 this house was built overlooking the old rice fields.)
Live oaks are everywhere and many are over 100 years old.

You can almost picture the ladies in their hooped dresses and men in their hats being driven in their horse drawn carriages. Oh, if these charming homes could talk! You certainly have some elegant places in your part of the country. Those live oaks are gorgeous. We have beautiful oak trees in our area but the moss we don't have and that is so beautiful..Happy Weekend..Judy
