Ever had a moment...
A moment that causes you pause...
pause for a simple little something that quickly speaks ~thankful~ down deep into your soul?
This morning I had a moment.
As I headed down the stairs this morning, turning through the dining room and on my way to the kitchen, the morning light was flowing in through the window and it caused me pause.
There was just something more beautiful about it this morning,
a soft warmth.
So I stood there and took in the moment,
enjoying the peace and thankfulness it brought to my heart.
There was just something more beautiful about it this morning,
a soft warmth.
So I stood there and took in the moment,
enjoying the peace and thankfulness it brought to my heart.
As I entered the kitchen I paused again,
as the morning light was brightly streaming in…
and casting shadows in the den.
So true isn't it, that simple things can bring such pleasure and joy.
Like the warm morning sunlight filling our home…
and a hot cup of coffee topped with whip cream...
the perfect combination for a beautiful day!
the perfect combination for a beautiful day!
Have you had a special moment, something you will share…
I'm having a SPECIAL GIVEAWAY, I hope you'll enter…
Hope you are having a wonderful day…enjoy every moment!
Blessings,
This is God's way of reminding you how very much He loves you!

I had a wonderful little moment this morning, too. The three girls slept over this weekend. SweetCheeks was a tad "sad" last night so asked Papa if he would sleep in the guest room so she could sleep with Nana. Anyway, I woke up early and looked over at this sweet little girl sleeping next to me- hair splayed across the pillow and a slight upturn to her lips. As I was thanking the Lord for her she opened her eyes and smiled up at me...sending a pang of love through every nerve in my body. xo Diana ps. Your dining room looks like it is the same color as ours.
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,

Just for me!! lol
Hope you have a restful Sunday hon,
I am headed off for a nap myself.

GORGEOUS Cindy!! Early morning and early evening is my favorite time to take pics!
ReplyDeleteAndie said it perfectly!
I'd be pausing all over the place if my house looked like that! With, or without sunlight.
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful morning light streaming in always catches my attention. It makes me stop and say, "Thank you". :)

The sunbeams streaming in to your home have certainly illuminated its beauty.
ReplyDeleteI love you tea pots - especially the one with the fred florals. It's so fresh and pretty.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right -- pausing for those moments gives one such a peaceful feeling. It's the learning to be attentive to those moments that one neglects. Too many times we are not focused on what is going on around us and miss some beautiful opportunities.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder.
Missy M
A morning sunbeam is, indeed, a treat. We don't get a lot of sunshine in winter out here, so I appreciate every sunbeam.
ReplyDeleteI won a Ramsign on another blog contest, and can say that it is a very high quality product.

ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful home and your photographs are gorgeous. Taking time to memorize the special moments is an important thing to do. It always makes me want time to stand still so I can memorize that lovely feeling.

Hi Cindy! You really do have a lovely, traditional home -- just the kind of decor I like. :) I'm glad you paused to appreciate the filtered sunlight through your dining room window and the play of shadows in your den. I'm always fascinated with the different quality of light throughout the different seasons of the year. This is such a nice post to start the day with.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and have a wonderful day!
Denise

I had such a moment within the last month while walking (do this daily) up and down our very long driveway for exercise and on the return walk from gate to house the setting of the sun was so unusual that I stopped in awe of what my eyes were viewing and I thank God for all the beauty He gives us when 'we have the eyes to see it'.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures and your home were a true feast for the eye today.
With fortitude,
Sylvia Faye
I love seeing the sun stream in and casting shadows. Just cloudy and gray all day here.

Beautiful pictures, Cindy! It truly speaks to the book I've chosen to re-read this year, 'Simple Abundance.' Sometimes we tend to lose sight of the simplistic beauty that surrounds us -- so nice to be reminded.
