dwellings master bath remodel
We've had a change in our bathroom remodel plans.
Our current master bathroom floor plan includes a walk-in closet which makes for a small master bath. We have already constructed a new master walk-in closet in another area of our bedroom so the remodeled master bath will be larger as posted here
We've been scouring magazines, blogs and websites for about two YEARS for inspiration for our new master bath.
(Well, I have. Thankfully Mr. Heart doesn't care to have much say in the details.)
I must say, I had no idea how long deciding on a master closet, master bath floor plan and then choosing the materials and fixtures would take, lots of inspiration here
And now there has been a change in our bath priorities.
Our home was built in the early 70's and the upstairs guest bath needs as much attention as our master bath does. So rather than remodeling our area first, especially seeing how long it takes "MOI" to make decisions...we want to make sure our guests have a nice bath to use when they come to visit. So, the guest bath is coming first!
I love the unique ideas incorporated in this first bath. Traditional style with modern touches...very nice!
We would like a traditional guest bath with a timeless look and feel.
Cararra marble...
12 x 12 tiles for floor and a subway tile for the bath/shower area...
Not thinking about introducing too much color, like cherry cabinets or mosiac floor tile with splashes of black...not at this time anyway!
Nope, right now the plan is to focus on the color white for the guest bath...
All bath inspiration from pinterest
What do you think...color or all white?
Love you sweet comments, sure hope you will leave one!

ReplyDeleteCindy, the all white could be really pretty; but, I'm partial to color. The inspiration photos are all great! I know that whatever you choose will be amazing!

ReplyDeleteI love white b/c you can always add color through accessories. It will be clean and crisp looking for guests. Nothing is more luxurious than fluffy white towels!

ReplyDeleteI'm following you with the new Linky follower. I've got it on my blog, too!
You and I are in the same boat! We were going to do the master bath but have decided to work on the hall bath instead. I'm leaning to all white, just adding touches of color through accessories. Makes it simple. I would love a dark vanity though. I'm still collecting ideas....

I have never been a fan of all white in any room so I'd rather have some color if it were my choice :)
ReplyDeleteI love the choices that you have picked out...color or not! They are all so beautiful.
The browns offer a richness, but the white is bright and airy, perfect for a bath. Sunny109
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI vote for white with adding color to the walls and accessories. My husband and I are in the middle of replacing out Master Bathroom vanity, counter top and facets. My bathroom currently has a lot of color...a lot of ugly colors to be exact. Redoing it is on my list of priorities for the year, and I'll be doing it white with hints of pastels. One thing I wish I had was storage like that last picture. Thanks for joining my party Cindy. I know you've been busy planning for your daughter's wedding, so it was nice to see you today!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for that greyish blue... Benjamin Moore has a lovely one called Silver cloud (I think)... I'm thinking of painting my bathroom this color. Visiting from WOW. Now following via linky tools! Would love you to pop by sometime for a visit!!
