Marvelous GIFTS of TIME and LIFE!
Slow pace and plenty of time while on vacation.
Time to think about TIME; to reflect on that which is
gone and ponder what is ahead.
Amazingly 86,400 seconds completes a day and 365 of these
conclude a year.
2011 has quickly passed; many more days now gone by.
Sharing my heart as I think on these days gone by...
Sharing my heart as I think on these days gone by...
Time is a gift. I
wonder about the gift of time, think on days gone by and struggle a bit
too.
Wonder if I have wisely used my
gift of time.
I wonder if…
I have cherished my time, am deserving of the gift, am truly
thankful and make wise use of this gift?
Knowing there is a plan for my life…I wonder if I please
the gift giver with how I use my time?
“ I will cry to God Most High, To God who accomplishes all
things for me.” Psalm 57:2
I ponder life…
Full of busy. Say
yes, when I should say no. Say no, when I should say yes. Fall behind.
All stacks up. Hearts yearn for my attention but the busy prevails.
All stacks up. Hearts yearn for my attention but the busy prevails.
Too busy for purposeful living and so little
time for that which is important?
Purposeful
living, what is this? A giver of love,
kind, a blessing to others… am I?
Fast
pace. Dull eyes; closed. Dull heart; closed too? Little left to give…all spent?
Does all I hold dear and near to my heart receive
second best…get what’s left?
Too much
time given for all the busy and not enough time
for the precious…the eternal…that which matters most...
for the precious…the eternal…that which matters most...
Family, friends, neighbors, souls; those precious with life...here to touch and love!
Busy prevails and stop dead in tracks. Piles of life needing attention...absence of balance… so little of me left.
Me? Who am I? Where am I going? What is my purpose? What truly matters?
How do I make sense of it all; make time for
it all?
Sometimes I ask. You
too?
Heart beats, lungs full of air, eyes see, heart full of love...gives love and receives it back.
Heart beats, lungs full of air, eyes see, heart full of love...gives love and receives it back.
Challenges; what to do with
heartache, brokenness, love that’s taken away, sickness, wayward child, death…
all that bruises and tries to leave us broken, battered, empty, longing to have worth again.
How to make sense of it all...
heartache, brokenness, love that’s taken away, sickness, wayward child, death…
all that bruises and tries to leave us broken, battered, empty, longing to have worth again.
How to make sense of it all...
Sometimes I ask. You
too?
Hopefully wiser as these days go by, as I continue turning to the ONE who created all,

has an answer for all and is kind above all!
So beauty can come from ashes…He promises so!

“to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit
of despair...” Isaiah 61:3
Time...Life...Amazing gifts for us to cherish, surely not to squander.
Our days, the number of them we do not know, but each new day is a new beginning!
Wherever we are, whatever our lot,
to give thanks in all things...for all things...to the giver of all things.
My heart overfloweth!!!
Purpose...to live on purpose...for His purpose in 2012.

“The LORD will accomplish what concerns me; Your loving kindness,
O LORD,
is everlasting;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.”
Psalm 138:8
Mindful of His goodness.
So very thankful for all my blessings!
So very thankful for all my blessings!
Thankful for every breath; for this body...heart, mind and
soul!
Thankful for the choice to be happy and give thanks for all
good.
Thankful I can pray for the courage to let go of the rest and enjoy the blessings that follow.

Thankful for every sight of eye;
such a beautiful world, butterflies, mountains, beaches, each beautiful person; their worth,
appreciation for all...for God’s amazing handiwork!

Thankful for hands and feet; able to touch, feel, go…to
do for others.
Thankful for lips; the taste of sweet things, receive
nourishment, know the kiss of my beloved.
Thankful for ears to hear; the song of birds, sweet hymns
of praise sung unto the Lord,
the stories of family and friends held close for memories sake,
the living word preached received by ear to the innermost of my heart!

Mindful that each scent, scene, experience, heartache has been allowed.
My eye to
behold and heart to endure … God allowed them all.
Purposefully enjoying each blessing while
seeking his guidance for lessons to be learned in each hurt and trying time.
seeking his guidance for lessons to be learned in each hurt and trying time.
Some of these to be understood and some not...accepting that it is not a right to understand.
So thankful for the abundant right, when bruised, to turn to God, my Father in Heaven,
for His loving kindness, goodness and mercy, comfort and provision...they last forever!
Thankful for the promise of Heaven!
God is good all the time!

In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.” Psalm 27:5
Time…Life... I marvel, enjoy, give thanks…offer
Praise!
Fully aware that another second has passed, is gone and it will never be again.
My hope and prayer
is that in each one, in every second, it may be said she lived life to the fullest, with purpose, faithfully, loved with whole of heart, gave, sought, beheld, gave thanks,
praised her God from whom all blessings flow!
So thankful;
heart beats strong, lungs full of air, eyes to see, heart
full of love, gives love and receives it right back!
I am blessed beyond measure;
much love, peace and an overflowing joy for the blessings of time and life!

ReplyDeleteCindy, what a beautiful post! And so eloquently written! I was just reflecting, New Year's Day, on how wonderfully blessed we are; yet, we don't really take the time to slow down and acknowledge it all. Thanks for writing this. It is just the reminder that I need!

ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dear Cindy,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your wishes of blessings and your friendship this year. You are such a grateful one, and I love that in a person. I actually did a post in December about the five senses and being thankful for them. There are not many things that I'm sure of in this world, but the one I am sure of is GOD'S LOVE. I hope the January days are being kind to you.
