Hi Cindy, been catching up on some posts....your front entry is beautiful and welcoming. Also love the bannister in the entry and your mantel is so pretty. Great nutcracker collection - so classic! Well done! Linda
ReplyDeleteCindy this is amazing! Your home itself is just incredibly beautiful and then with it all dressed up for Christmas it is even more fantastic. I love the full sized trees on either side and the whole thing is perfect! Thanks so much for sharing it at the Doors and Porches party~

How very lovely and inviting. Dearly love all the rocking chairs on your porch. When I married my dear French Canadian 59 years ago one of the things I missed leaving Virginia was a porch and how I wanted to bring back a child's rocker for our first born. They simple didn't and still don't have the great rocking chairs we took for granted.
ReplyDeleteWhen you spoke of your cat being 'such a mess' I knew you were from the South...no one here uses that term...so sweet to hear it again.
One last thing may I ask where you live in N.C. as my mom was born in N.C. in Catawba county and we drove often over the mountains to visit relatives in the Hickory vicinity. My dad was from South Carolina.
May God Bless you and Mother Mary love you,
~Sylvia Faye
Very pretty porch! Hanging icicle lights inside is a good idea if you can't hang them outside. Don't know that I've ever seen TWO trees on a porch...very nice! Having one on the porch is also a good idea if the one inside the home can't be seen from the outside. :) Don't know if I could pull it off with where I live, which is on a hill as it can get extremely windy!
