Dwellings Christmas Crow

Sometimes it doesn't take much to decorate.
All it takes to give this crow a special Christmas touch is some sparkle berries and ribbon.


Why is this crow a favorite piece of mine...I really don't know!  For some reason he just spoke to me and it was done.  His home in on this little antique bench where he is perched most of the year. Unless, from time to time, he finds himself on one of the fireplace mantles.



He thinks he's snazzy sitting on his finial perch all decked out in Christmas berries!



I've had this bench for a long time now. Years ago, when running some errands, I noticed a road side sale and saw this sitting right at the edge of the road...so of course I stopped! I could see that it must have be someones creation and was told that it had been re-purposed from a large hall tree. I thought it was so unique and loved the oak wood, so it came home with me.

    I have really enjoyed the simple decorating of the season that has been popping up everywhere. Somethings (most of the time) I get too "embellished" with my holiday decor. I would love to create a subtle holiday vignette like yours. I just need an awesome black crow!

    First of all I love your bench, and what a treasure to find roadside, a lil gift from the Lord, no doubt!!
    Your crow looks dashing with the sparkling berries, a perfect touch, isn't it amazing how just adding something simple adds so much pizzaz.
    It is always the small things and touches that are so heart warming, isn't it!!

    Looks like you are off to a good start on your Christmas decorating, saw your cute snowmen too. Adorable.

    Who could not love Christmas????

    That's a festive little crow you have there!! I have a swan that I dress up on Christmas so I know why! He's cute.

    I love the crow. There is a guard duck at my house. I just got him a few months ago, but he's been part of my seasonal decorations ever since! I'm gonna post here and become a follower, too!

    The book of Matthew say God takes care of the birds and so are you dressing up the crow. That is the true spirit of Christmas.
