SAVORY FIND

While Mr. Heart and I were in Tennessee we did a little treasure hunting.  I was happy to find this vintage enamel roasting pan.

I loved the size, color and was especially happy to see SAVORY on the front.

So, I thought it needed a little something fallish...

What says fall better than mums and lantana?

 Yellow mums...

These burgandy beauties will have yellow centers.  Can't wait for them to open up...

 Bright yellow lantana, so dainty...

And this cute little fella. He's a bit too white for Fall, so...

a little spray of this and a little dap of that should do the trick...

 There now, that's better...

Just a little more finessing to do and I'll see you on the porch!
Love your sweet comments...

Blessings,
Cindy

  1. I'm popping over from Brenda's Cozy Little House to say hello. I love how you warmed up sweet Mr. Squirrel. And the hutch from your aunt and dishes from your granny are a perfect match. My Mammaw made great banana pudding and I do remember fondly all the holidays and special occasions spent at her home. She had a small kitchen table and dining area that were right next to each other. The adults would sit in the kitchen and the kids would sit in the dining room and any overflow was either in the living room or outside at the picnic table. She had a huge backyard which was a great place for Easter egg hunts. Her home was small, her furniture remained the same all her life, she never wanted for anything. Yep! Brings back memories (in fact, now I'm tearing up :/! Have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend. Blessings, Tammy

  5. I don't know that I've ever seen a roasting pan like the one you found. I love antiques and shabby, chipped items!
Using Pledge and Old English on your little squirrel? I've never heard of that little trick.
Looking forward to seeing the roasting pan floral arrangement :)

  9. Cindy, Now, I've used Pledge and Old English scratch cover for years, but I can't say I ever used it on a squirrel. :) He/she looks so much more "fallish".
I'm popping over from Branda's Cozy Little House. Yay! We were featured. I'm so thrilled. Love your enamel roaster and Fall flowers,

  11. Hi Cindy, what a great roasting pan - love the word savory on it. And the flowers are gorgeous. I hate to get rid of them, too. But in Georgia, they will bloom through November frequently. Linda
