It is hard to say goodbye.
Summer has flown by and I'm finding it hard to say goodbye.
These geraniums have done beautifully on the front porch and I'm not ready for them to fade away...
I have enjoyed the long summer days,
fresh cut green grass,
the garden and her beautiful blooms,
birds and their songs,
butterflys,
bunnies and bees,
vacations,
cookouts,
shorts,
morning runs,
evening walks,
flip flops and ponytails.
It is hard to say goodbye to summer!
Blessings,
Cindy
You scared me! I thought you were going to announce that you decided to quit your blog. Very happy that isn't the case. If my summer was as nice as yours, I'd miss it too. However, I can't say I'll miss the weather so hot you couldn't stay outside or the dead flowers and brown yards.
ReplyDeleteThis was the first time we had a summer this bad and hopefully the last one we will have that is so bad for a long time! Even though it feels like we skipped summer, I'm looking forward to the cooler weather and beginning my fall decorating.
Have a great weekend Cindy!
All of the things that you will say goodbye to are the things that we look forward to later in the year here since in the summer it is way too hot to do anything at all. I have planting to do today on my two balconies since there wasn't time yesterday. Have a super Saturday. Tammy
ReplyDeleteI definitely am sorry to see summer end. I enjoy fall, but summer is by far the best time of the year for me. I may feel differently one of these days when I am not teaching. Then, I'm going to savor ever minute of fall!
ReplyDeleteWe go to Florida for the winter but there is nothing like the summers in our area and I will truly miss them too. Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to say goodbye in once sense....However, I love Fall so much I look forward to the leaf change and some cool nights ahead. Your photos are so pretty Cindy!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. I love the cooler air of fall, but will miss summer even though it was a very hot one this year. I love your porch.
ReplyDeleteThere are many wonderful things to enjoy about summer! Your flowers still look beautiful having made it through the heat.
ReplyDeleteYikes.. you scared me as well!
ReplyDeleteBut I am with Donnie.. After my surgery.. off to Florida... I hope! Smiles~
