Wake up mommy!
Ellie-Mae was ready to get up EARLY this morning!
Yes, she is our baby...we never imagined how she would capture our hearts!
Once the coffee is brewed Mr. Heart joins Ellie-Mae and me on the porch...our favorite morning spot.
It is cool on the porch this morning, feels like fall!
The wind is gently blowing,
the birds are singing as they visit the feeders and
the sun is beginning to gleam through the trees.
I have to get the afghan this morning, there is such a chill in the air!
After a couple cups of coffee Mr. Heart heads upstairs to get busy for the day. It is so nice on the porch with the sun now shining even brighter. I think I'll "set a spell" and continue enjoying the beauty of this morning. So, I get another cup of coffee topped with whip cream along with the book I've been reading.
I couldn't help but notice the beautiful clematis.
The tiny white blooms are so bright in the morning light.
This sweet cardinal isn't sure about me being so close.
See him peeking over the feeder, he's deciding what to do...
eat or fly away...
I'm so glad he's decided to eat, they are so beautiful and their songs so sweet!
Now, back to my book and coffee...
Beth Moore's "Believing God", highly recommend it!
So thankful for this beautiful morning.
"The while earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns,
where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy." Psalm 65:8
I love hearing from you...you always say the kindest things!
Blessings,
Cindy

It sounds like you had a splendid morning on your porch. I love fall Clematis. Seeing yours in bloom makes me want to go outside to check mine to see how far along it is. It shouldn't be too long before it blooms.
ReplyDeleteHOw wondeful to be sitting on the porch and have coffee in the morning and it looks delicious..What a great shot of the cardinal. WE dont have those here.

Your porch seems like such a nice place to start the day. So peaceful and charming.
ReplyDeleteYour porch is beautiful, looks so relaxing and peaceful. Too hot here to sit on the porch....Christine
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us join you for coffee this morning. I don't think I would have ever gone inside. The flowers and the cardinal are certainly a reminder of God's goodness and majesty...I think He may even be responsible for that delightful whipped cream on your coffee. I am using Beth Moore's Believing God devotional this year and am learning so much about my faith. Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteYour photography is lovely, you really captured the crispness of the morning air.
ReplyDeleteMorning Cindy,
ReplyDeleteYou are so right there is nothing like sitting out on your porch as you start your day. I love to do that, but still way to hot here, so I am really anticipating cool mornings............
Ellie Mae is just adorable, they can just steal your heart so easily, like our grandaughter dog
Rosie, she is such a lil priss too! and that
clementis is gorgeous and I do so love cardinals we get them here too, my favorite bird really,
they are so pretty. and is that a Beth Moore book by any chance?? If so, I know it is good.
Love her stuff and love to watch her even more.
She is a Jesus dynamo...............
Have a lovely Fall, sounds like you are starting to experience that now..............
I am gonna have to fake myself out by decorating
the house and feeling like it is Fall on the inside even if it is 90-100 degrees outside!! lol
Blessing Hon, Nellie
And you always have the sweetest posts! I adore your little peaceful spot and the nature around you is glorious! Thank you for sharing this bit of eden with us! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Beautiful photos, and such sweet words. I'm jealous of the chill in the air at your house this morning! We don't have that yet in southern Mississippi!

Sounds like you have wonderful weather, great company, and a beautiful view! No wonder you spend the beginning of every day on your porch. I especially enjoyed your bird pictures. I keep trying to take pictures of the birds in our yard, but haven't been too successful in capturing a photo yet. Maybe someday! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteOh, you took me right there with you! A very enjoyable morning. The hubby and I also have had a little one steal our hearts in a way we never thought possible. Bless their little hearts!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautifully sweet post, Cindy, God is so good to us, isn't He.

What a delightful treat to have discovered your blog this afternoon. It is a relaxing, inspiring place to visit. Thank you for an unexpected surprise. I really like the verse you shared, and that you and your husband like drinking coffee together.
ReplyDeleteNice series, love your porch and all of your flowers.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed your coffee on your porch right along with you. We have a deck that has the most beautiful mountain view. Coffee out there in the sunshine is the best. Next time I'm adding some whipped cream. Big smile here.

Cindy, I wish I could join you and Ellie-Mae on the porch for coffee! I love cardinals because they mate for life. Sweet photos, Cindy!

ReplyDeleteI'm stopping back by to say Thank you for linking to Potpourri Friday and helping to make it a success! I appreciate you and hope you will link up again next week! I'll be looking forward to seeing you!
Cindy, Such a beautiful post on the porch. Makes me want to sit on ours, but too sticky out to be enjoyed right now. Certainly there is no cool breeze to enjoy with a quilt. Oh, be still my heart. That sounds so nice! Always remember I am a Yankee girl and "Cool" and "cold" are words I love, lol. Ellie-Mae is just delightful. Love that sweet face. Thank you for stopping by and leaving such a precious comment. Thought the post was a bit "wordy" but he does read my blog every day and I so wanted him to know that I do tell the world how much I love him and how Great God is. Have a beautiful long weekend. Blessings,
ReplyDeleteLynn
Lovely, I always enjoy the quiet early morning on our porch with a cup of tea. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm! I can just smell that Sweet Autumn Clematis from here, Cindy. :) What a beautiful way to begin your day - your hubby and your adorable furbaby by your side, coffee in hand. Doesn't get any better than that. :) Hope your having a blessed holiday weekend, my friend!
