TEA CART and SIDE TABLE

So, what does this sweet little tea cart

and this side table

have in common?

Both were acquired at an auction by Mr. Heart and I
and both are about to get some of this...

Paris Gray, Louis Blue, Old White?
What do you think...which colors for which piece?

Gotta get busy, so please leave a comment...

Blessings,
Cindy

  1. Oooh Cindy I have been so curious about chalk paint!!!
It sounds so nice and easy to use..I heard about it first at Miss Mustard Seeds' and have been drooling ever since :)
I think any of those colours would look wonderful.
But Im guessing now...that you'll use old white on the side table, and Paris Grey and Louis Blue on the tea cart?? :)
I cant wait to see..have fun!
    Show n' tell too ok?
    I know you will!
    Have a sweet day!!

  2. Louis blue for the cart, and Paris Gray for the table. Are they compatible colors? Are they going in the same room? I am not sure what Louis blue looks like.... I can't wait to see their transformations!!!

  5. Hi Cindy,
Love both pieces but especially the tea cart! I would paint the cart old white but then that's me. I guess we'll see because I'm sure you already know what you have in mind.

  17. Hi Cindy,
Your cart looks so much like the one I bought for our dining room when I deformalized it. I have a tall stack of white plates on the bottom shelf.
I just gave mine a darker wax finish because I had brought in 2 other painted pieces.
But...if I had painted it with chalk paint, I think I would have choose Paris Grey. And, I always love the look of a wood top on a painted base, but you would need to sand and wax it too probably. Take a look at this site.
http://www.lottiescreativeliving.co.uk/nggallery/page-100/ love the look of Super French farmhouse table - it's P. Grey with wood top... be still my heart.
Hurry up and let us know!!!

  18. Okay! I'm going to have to try this chalk paint. The colors are great! I'm in a gray phase these days. So I'd have to vote for gray. But I'm sure whichever color you choose, it's going to be beautiful!

  19. I'm envious of your tea cart! I've always wanted one, but never found an affordable one. If it were me, I'd paint it white, that way it can go with anything without having to repaint it again later. Enjoy your new finds!
