SPRING CLOCHE

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

Knowing I love birds and all things Spring, my sweet cousin gave me this cloche for Christmas.
I've been waiting for months to use it!

I thought this cloche was so pretty with the painting on the glass; love the nest, eggs, flowers, and bird details.

I shared with you on my post
A Day With Mr. Heart...(click here)
a few thrifty finds Mr. Heart and I found while antiquing.
I needed to find  a good place for the vintage basket, little watering can and sweet blue bird we found.

Well, they have a home here on the antique flour bin.
I found this bin many years ago through a friend of mine who shared an antique shop right next to mine.

The top piece is an old wall shelf that fits perfectly resting on top of the flour bin.
I love this piece.  It holds many of my Metlox Poppytrail Rooster dishes, vintage tins, and other collections.

These sweet blooms I saved from my Valentine's roses.
They are still so pretty and add just the right touch to this little watering can!

This Spring cloche fits this vignette perfectly!

The weather is turning warm here and birds are everywhere making and fluffing their nests!  I'm fluffing mine too...
So, what are you up to?

Please let me know you visited, I love hearing from you!

Blessings,
Cindy

  31. Beautiful room, Cindy. We had a kitchen piece with the possum belly drawers like yours. It was one of my favorite pieces. When we moved to our current home in 95 there wasn't a spot for it. I gave it to one of my nieces who I knew would appreciate it. It's fun to see it in her kitchen now.
This is a charming post! So enjoyed my visit here. ~ Sarah
