Inventory at my shop, Dwellings, is dwindling and that's a good thing!
With this in mind, it was time for Mr.Heart and I to head to the Auction.
We always have a great time, find lots of pretties and sometimes find some unusual things!
Sharing some with you...
This is the sweetest little cup and saucer.
Though it is now hard to read it says, "To my Friend."
I wonder who originally purchased this sweet gift
and
who the special friend was that received it?
They must have enjoyed sipping their coffee and tea from this rose painted cup as the lettering has faded over the years...
These sweet cups and saucers are so pretty
and marked with Adams, Est 1657, England.
We brought home quite a bit of furniture. Several bedroom suites and many occasional tables.
I'll share more of them soon, but here is a peek...
I've been busy, busy...the silver pieces were black, but they are shinny now!
Now, to the unusual.
Once we got home, we found several rings and a stick pin in one of the silver pieces. Looking closer at the stick pin, I thought,
this looks like a June bug! But surely NOT!!!
But the closer I looked, the more it looked like a June Bug!
HOW ODD!
So, I searched online and found one that is currently listed on ebay as a rare Victorian June Bug stick pin
at a price of $129.99.
This picture spoke to Mr. Heart...
Do you know anything about this artist?
His name is Abner Firestone and if you have any information, I'd love to know!
There were a number of vintage postcards...
This sweet Easter post card was sent when postage was one cent!
As usual, Bella and Ellie-Mae were right in the middle of everything! What is it about boxes and crumpled up newspaper that makes kitties go wild?
Well, that's it for now. Hope you enjoyed these Auction finds!
Your comments are so special, please let me know you visited.
Blessings,

You found some treasures, and that pin is so interesting! I'm having a hard time picking my favorite, but it might be that beautiful plate with the scalloped edge and the bright blue border. I have never seen one like that. I don't know of any auctions in our area--probably a good thing because I would be so tempted! Linda
