SWEET-BOY MIKEY ~ WE WILL MISS YOU!

It is a sad time for us.

After months of tests,
and medications,
and still no real answers,
he wasn't getting better.
So Monday morning we had to say goodbye to our Sweet-boy Mikey.


There are no words
that 
can
possibly
describe
what
my
heart
is
feeling.

I understand that those who don't have pets may not understand.
But for those of us that do,
we know so well how our pets become a part of the family.

Mikey has been a part of our family for a long, long, time and has brought us so much joy.

He loves his head to be rubbed...




Mikey has always loved drinking running water
from the spigot, hose, and especially from the fountain.

He would sit by the pond for a while, looking at the fountain...



then he would stand up and lean across the pond landing on the fountain...

and then he would enjoy a drink.

He's such a loving, handsome, and sweet-boy...





Mikey will ALWAYS hold a special place in our hearts.
We will love and miss him forever!

    Oh, Cindy I'm so sorry for your loss of sweet Mikey. But, what a beautiful post! Such warm and loving tribute. He's over the rainbow bridge now and may sweet Mikey memories fill your heart in the days to come.

    Cindy, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of Mikey, and yes, I can relate, as our little 7.5 lb Shih Tzu is our baby. Relish in the joy he gave your family and know that is not suffering.

    Oh Cindy....I do totally understand how you are feeling because I am a huge pet lover. When we moved here to NC in 1992, we came with 3 dogs, one that was already up in her years. She lived to be almost 18 yeals old! She was our precious baby and both my boys and my husband cried when we finally had to put her down. We now have 2 other dogs, one who just turned 11 last month. Although he is still quite active and healthy, we know his years are getting long. You are right, these little furry creatures DO become part of our families and there is a huge hole in our hearts when they are gone. Pets are a blessing from God and I choose to believe that we may just see them again in heaven. Praying for your broken heart :)

    Oh Cindy, so very sorry to hear about your sweet kitty. My heart and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
    Pets are wonderful and I think we learn a lot about how to love from them, and they definitely become part of the family
    after all those years together. We were sure heartbroken after losing our lil dog years back, so sorta know how you feel.

    Oh Cindy, I'm so sorry for the pain you're experiencing right now. How hard. My heart goes out to you. Pets are family members and I don't want to even think about the day my sweet little pooch is gone. Hang in there and may God mend your broken heart.

    Cindy, I'm so sorry about your sweet Mikey. It is so hurtful to lose a beloved pet. Our MacDuff is quite old now, and I dread for him to leave us. It's the hardest part of owning a pet, isn't it? Mikey was definitely a beautiful cat. You have my sympathy and sincere hopes that you will feel better soon.

    I'm so sorry for your loss! Having a houseful of cats, we've been there too many times and it never gets easier:( but what a beautiful tribute to your dear family member. Looks like Mikey enjoyed a delightful and loving home filled with happy memories.

    What a beautiful tribute to such a sweet family member. I too have pets and can understand your sorrow at losing your family member. Prayers for comfort when you reach for that soft little fur ball and long to stroke is head !!!!

    Cindy, my heart is breaking for you!! We just went through this ourselves 1 month ago, losing our kitty Cole, so I definitely feel for you!! It is so painful. Mikey was so beautiful, and I'm sure he knew how much he was loved. I'm praying comfort for you and your family.

    I am so very sorry. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs and they are family. I fully understand your loss and I hate when people say it was just a cat, it was just a dog. No it wasn't it was my family. Remember the best way to honor a pet we lost was to rescue another one and share the love with another pet.

    Was Mikey a Maine Coon? Looks so much like my Miss Kitty. So sorry for your loss. Miss Kitty is the same age and I have never had a cat this long. I so feel for you!

    I am so very sorry for your loss. I am sitting here typing this watching one of my little furry one sleeping. I took her to the vet today and she is a little sick. I can't imagine what you are going through right now. Many prayers.

    I'm so very sad to learn you lost your precious fur baby. He was so beautiful, with eyes that melt your heart. Our pets are truly family, and when they leave a part of our hearts goes with them. He had a wonderful life filled with love. Cherish the memories.
